You can build the character, but it will not do more damage, nor will it tank better than a W/Mo. Aditionaly, a Mo/W will be smashed appart in PvP.

Yeah, not nearly as much. You see, warriors have armor and absorbsion, monks do not. Casters are typicaly targeted before warriors, because casters are easier to kill. Guess what caster gets singled out first the majority of the time. Healing Breeze + SoJ alone isn't going to save you in PvP or PvE.

You'll find W/Mo is not that uncommon a class at high level GvG... Contemplation anyone?
Anyway, it's perfectly possible to make a Mo/W that uses a sword that works, it's just not particularly effective.

Mo/W
Axe Mastery: 12
Smiting: 9+3+1
Tactics: 9
Eviscerate [e]
Executioners Strike
Axe Rake
Strength of Honour
Judges Insight
Flurry
Sprint
Resurrection Signet
I ran that for a while... sub out the three axe skills for three swords of your choice.
pros:- you deal good damage vs. warriors
- you can buff ally warriors with SoH
cons: - you will get laughed at
- flurry
- you are automatically the target in any pvp. Try owning it up when there are four people on your back.... i had 9 tactics for a shield and i had judges, so i did have 86al at the front. Still not great though -.-

this could be used as a good farming build where you have a lot of strip enchanters all over the place.

How would it be good at all in an area with lots of enchantment strips?

over all the monk just doesn't have the armor capabilties of a warrior. Therefor monks are never ever ever wanted as tanks. Myabe you can sneek in as a monk tank in the random arenas though. hehehehe.
So, none really worth useing in PvE or PvP.
